Narcissists Can’t Be Soulmates

Narcissist can’t be soulmates.

Your soulmate might act like a narcissist sometimes, but if they really are one, they couldn’t be your soulmate. Simply put, it wouldn’t make any sense and there would be no point to your relationship.

ACTING LIKE A NARCISSIST

People have a bad habit of throwing the word narcissist around when their partner acts selfish or self-centered. Some relationship dynamics develop where everything revolves around one person. Other relationships are lead by a very controlling person.

None of that means a real narcissist is involved in any of them. Sometimes a person is just selfish or childish. Sometimes people don’t like to take responsibility for their words and actions. That doesn’t make them a narcissist though.

Quite often the person having narcissistic traits develop them during the course of the relationship. The other soulmate supports and enables that behavior. But they’re not like that with everyone, just their soulmate. So this indicates they’re not a true narcissist.

There’s no reason whatsoever for the universe to pair someone with a narcissist. Narcissists can’t change, grow, or evolve. So what would be the point when the relationship stands no chance of working out? All soulmate relationships have the opportunity to be successful ones. A relationship with a narcissist has zero chance of working out.

NARCISSISTS AND SOULMATES BOTH MOVE FAST

Soulmate relationships, and relationships with narcissists, have similar beginnings. Soulmate relationships develop very quickly because of the connection. A narcissist likes to project a relationship forward very quickly in the beginning.

One of the reasons for this is if it moves too slowly, it will take too much time and effort to get you on their hook. They need to catch you and catch you quick. The problem is that you’ll wake up one day and realize they’re not who you thought they were.

But don’t confuse the two any further.

The universe doesn’t make mistakes and doesn’t waste creating connections. The true purpose of a soulmate relationship is to follow a spiritual path, cause an awakening and create positive change. None of that can be done with, or as, a narcissist.

So, if you’re worried your soulmate is a narcissist, worry no more. They may be selfish, self-centered or controlling. They may lack empathy sometimes and act as though the word revolves around them. But a real narcissist they are not. The good news is that your soulmate can change, where a narcissist can’t.

We do have one caveat to all of this. If the person in question really is a narcissist, they may be a false soulmate. There’s nothing you can do to make the relationship better. There is no amount of work you can do to create positive changes. Your only option is to save yourself and get out.

  1. Of course a soulmate cannot be a narcissist! I have been telling my sister this for over 2 years and I am sending her this article, maybe it will finally sink in!

  2. I agree with this article 100%. Narcs cannot change, so there is no reason to spiritually connect someone to a Narc.

    • Perhaps if the title of the article was “what is one supposed to do if their soul mate is a narcissist” it would be unfinished. But it isn’t. That will be another article.
