Long distance soulmate relationships are more common than one would think. Soulmates often live in different states or even countries, especially when they first come into contact with one another. Long distance relationships are tough, and each member of the couple has to overcome not only the obstacle of distance, but also their own persona demons.
Long distance relationships are not for those who are insecure, needy or clingy. These relationships leave both members with more alone time than couple time. They both need to be very committed to the relationship and not let their fears get the better of them. One would think that long distance relationships between soulmates would be easier than other couples because of their connection. Well, in theory it should be, but soulmates can actually have it rougher than other couples because of that connection.
When you meet your soulmate, you want to spend as much time with them as you possibly can. Because of the distance, that time is going to be few and far between. It is also very costly to fly or drive long distances to spend time together and money can be a big hurdle to overcome. Careers, family, and life in general, for most people prevents them from taking large blocks of time off to go and visit their soulmate in another state or country. But it can be done, if both soulmates support one another and do the best they can to keep the relationship moving forward.
Since they cannot be around each other that much, speaking on the phone has to be increased. Texting simply won’t do it. It cannot be the primary method of communication because soulmate long distance relationships need more than just texting. Consistent communication can help ease the worried minds of the soulmates, and help them feel they are a part of each other’s lives. This is essential to maintaining a healthy soulmate relationship.
At one point or another the soulmates will doubt if their long distance soulmate relationship can survive. They may not be able to see how they can ever be together. They will want to give up because it just seems so hard to deal with. It is quite common for long distance soulmates to go through a separation period because of issues like this.
Another issue they face is when too much time goes by and they have not seen their soulmate in a long time. Their soulmate may have cancelled too many times, or had too many excuses to either not make plans to see one another or repeatedly break plans. But soulmates usually can make long distance relationships work, because their connection is so strong, and they would rather have a soulmate half across the world than to have no soulmate at all.
